Flux

Flux (now operating as Spectrum by Photon) is an open-source TypeScript framework for deploying AI agents into the messaging apps people already use, instead of asking users to download a new app or visit a website to talk to your agent.

A single API connects agents to iMessage, Telegram, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord, Instagram, and other channels, with smart routing that can fall back across platforms (for example iMessage with Telegram as a backup). Rich content (styled text, images, files, polls, stickers, attachments) is adapted to each platform's native format. Photon's edge network is quoted at sub-1-second end-to-end latency with 99.9% uptime, plus audit logs, message histories, and human-in-the-loop controls. The platform is SOC 2 ready with isolated environments per deployment.

It is aimed at developer teams building consumer-facing AI products. The featured customer is Ditto, an iMessage-based matchmaker agent for college students serving 140k+ active users, illustrating use cases like coding companions, customer support, and conversational consumer agents at scale.
